Title: Director of Admissions

Description: This position is responsible for all areas of recruiting, admitting and enrolling students to the institution.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing strategies and processes to attract, recruit and enroll a highly qualified and talented student body in a manner that supports the mission, vision and values of Grove City College and fulfills the College’s recruitment, admission, diversity and retention goals
- Leading a staff of eight employees and additional student workers in representing the College to prospective students and their families while on campus, as well as during college fairs, high school visits, special events and programs
- Working closely with the Dean of Enrollment in the overall recruitment of prospective students, including major target goals, territory management, travel coordination, marketing and budgeting
- Providing leadership in the development of assessment tools and technology initiatives, including social media, that ensure business processes that are efficient, accurate and responsive
- Providing leadership with the implementation of a competitive marketing plan for student recruiting
- Maintaining and building upon a spirit of collaboration and articulation with high schools, community colleges and 4-year institutions from which the college draws its students
- Supervising those who plan and coordinate various on-campus special Admissions events
- Participating in and providing support for those who read applications and related documents in preparation for accepting/refusing a student applicant
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree is required and a master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of five years significant experience working in and/or directing a higher education admissions office is required.
The successful candidate will have outstanding analytical and planning skills and experience in all admissions areas including programming, innovation and supervision. Must demonstrate a willingness to work in a team environment and provide a high level of customer service. A thorough understanding of territory management, travel coordination, campus visit programming, application processing and establishing recruiting/enrollment goals are a must. The successful candidate must be comfortable using data and reports to drive decision-making and processes improvement. Experience with CRM technology; assessment; statistical analysis; oral, written and presentation skills required. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able and willing to travel occasionally to various fairs and schools. There will be some evening and weekend commitments.
