Christian High School: College CounselorThe College Counselor reports to the Dean of Guidance and College Counseling and is responsible for administering all aspects of the college search and admissions process, including the following: Educating students and parents about colleges, the college admissions process, trends, procedures, and testing; advising and supporting students in all grade levels and their families as they go through the college preparation and admissions process; and helping students and families aspire realistically and choose wisely. The College Counselor will also meet with college admissions representatives who visit our campus and facilitate meetings between college representatives and our students. The College Counselor will serve as a liaison with College admissions offices throughout the year and write recommendations for seniors. To do so, the Counselor gathers information from parents, teachers, school records, and students themselves. Further, The College Counselor will complete all School Report and mid-year report forms requested by colleges on behalf of students. Minimum Qualifications: A Master’s Degree from an accredited university preferably in counseling, education, or related field of study
The Position: This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position. Occasional evenings and weekends are required. Salary: Salary is commensurate with academic preparation and experience. |
