Grand Rapids Theological Seminary: Director of Admissions

JOB TITLE: Director of Admissions for GRTS
CLASSIFICATION: Full-time Salaried
REPORTS TO: GRTS Academic Dean
DEPT: Seminary Admissions
LOCATION: Wood Building

 

SUMMARY
The Director of Admissions is responsible for planning, implementation, and goal achievement in the areas of student recruitment, student retention, enrollment management, financial aid, admissions staff supervision, marketing, international student processing, and departmental budget oversight. The Director of Admissions reports to the Academic Dean of Grand Rapids Theological Seminary.

 Responsibilities

Develop annual comprehensive recruitment strategy and oversee the recruitment process
Develop annual marketing/advertising plan
Supervise the admissions staff and manage the office budget
Identify recruitment events and coordinate travel schedule
Review all admissions files
Coordinate development of all promotional literature
Write content for and update the GRTS website
Project and achieve annual enrollment goals
Identify enrollment management reporting needs and analyze data
Provide information related to enrollment trends and program recommendations
Oversee retention of current students
Identify financial aid needs and implement processes to serve students
Work closely with Student Financial Services, Registrar, and the Academic Dean
Award institutional grants and scholarships alongside the Scholarship Committee
Process legal documents for international students
Other duties as assigned by the Academic Dean of GRTS

 Qualifications

Master’s degree in theological education preferred
At least 2 years experience in admissions, financial aid and / or related field preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Supervisory experience
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and an active Christian commitment
A theology that supports the values and mission of Cornerstone University as evidenced by affirmation of the university’s doctrinal statement, “The Cornerstone Confession.”
