Asbury Seminary: Director of Admissions

Asbury Theological Seminary, located in Wilmore, Kentucky, has an immediate opening for a Director of Admissions. This position will report to the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Services. The Director of Admissions is primarily responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for the Admissions Office to recruit a diverse student body pursuant to the Seminary’s vision and mission.

 The Director:

·           Oversees all Admissions/Recruiting functions

·           Acts on behalf of the Admissions Committees to approve and admit students

·           Supervises the Admissions Staff

·           Analyzes recruitment-related data as part of a strategic enrollment management process

·           Assesses Admissions activities to determine overall effectiveness and efficiencies

·           Oversees the International Student Admissions Counselor

·           Travels as required

 Qualifications Include:

·           A degree in marketing, business administration, education leadership or relevant field required.

·           A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience inside a higher educational institution, admissions experience preferred.

·           Demonstrated record of achievement in implementing successful programs at a higher educational institution, including a successful marketing, promotions and recruitment record.

·           Supervisory experience relevant to the Admissions department.

·           Experience in working in a diverse, multicultural environment.

·           Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

·           An understanding and use of innovated ways to use technology in the recruitment process.

·           Ability to work independently and as a team.

·           Ability to facilitate organizational development and change.

·           A faith in Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior that can be adequately articulated.

·           A firm commitment to the Asbury Seminary ethos statement.

·           Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
