Biola University (CA) was featured in a December 2006 article in University Business entitled “A Lot to Look At” because of its new $6.5 million subterranean parking structure topped by a soccer field.

 

Trinity International University (IL) won the 2006 Racial Harmony Award from the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.  TIU was honored for its initiatives supporting diversity on campus.  Thirty-one percent of its undergraduates are students of color while 38% of the members of its Executive Council are minorities.

The Lions of St. Joseph Christian School won the Missouri 8-man football state championship, defeating Worth County High School 62-26. 

Trinity Christian College (IL) introduced a new program for its students who live on campus:  They now have free, unlimited long distance call to anywhere in the USA.

The October issue of Men’s Fitness magazine ranked Wheaton College (IL) number four in its second annual listing of the top 25 “fittest colleges” in the nation, based on a survey of nearly 12,500 students at 115 colleges.

Olivet Nazarene University (IL) has received approval from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Universities to offer a Doctor of Education degree in ethical leadership, which will be launched in the summer of 2007.  Olivet has also received approval from the Chinese government to begin offering the Master of Professional Counseling degree in Hong Kong this year.

Walla Walla College (WA) will change its name to Walla Walla University in September 2007.
