The North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals (NACCAP) announces that Dr. Phil Cook, who has served as NACCAP president since August 2021, has accepted the position of president at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. Dr. Cook will conclude his service with NACCAP on June 20, 2025.

“Phil has served NACCAP with wisdom, humility and a deep commitment to Christ-centered education,” said Willem de Ruijter, NACCAP Board Chair and vice president for enrollment and marketing at Geneva College. “On behalf of the board, we are grateful for his leadership and excited to see how Phil will continue to serve Christian education, including in his new role at Lee University.”

During his time with NACCAP, Dr. Cook provided steady leadership through several key initiatives. Under his direction, NACCAP’s Leadership Development for Enrollment Professionals (LDEP) program experienced significant growth, equipping rising leaders to develop both professionally and spiritually. He also guided the development of NACCAP’s organizational strategic plan and helped initiate a collaborative market research study with the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) to better understand public perceptions of Christian higher education.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have served NACCAP these past few years,” Dr. Cook said. “It has been an honor to work alongside such dedicated professionals who are passionate about advancing the mission of Christian education. I look forward to what God has in store as I return to serve at Lee University.”

NACCAP is well-positioned for the future, thanks to the faithful leadership of Dr. Cook and former executive director Chant Thompson. Their commitment to strengthening the organization and serving its members has created a firm foundation for the next season. A transition plan is in place, and the board of directors will share further updates in the coming weeks.
