LDEP Senior Enrollment Leader Track

LDEP Senior Enrollment Leader Track

Senior enrollment leaders have a clear view of the challenges facing higher education – and particularly Christian Higher Education. Whether you are new to your role or been at it for a while, there are many things that keep you up at night:LDEP logo 2021 resize

  • How do I overcome the “enrollment cliff” now upon us, where most of us will see a significant decline of high school graduates in our region over the next seven years?
  • How do I keep up with bone-crushing competition to recruit enough students to meet my enrollment goals?
  • How do I help my team combat the public’s perception that a college degree is not as important as it once was, or not worth the investment?
  • How do I attract a rising generation of Christian students whose worldview is not always in tune with that of my institution?
  • How do I retain all-star caliber employees, where I ask them to succeed in pressure-packed positions at relatively low pay?
  • How do I gain the resources and hone in on the strategies needed to meet the enrollment expectations put on me by my president and board?
  • How do you do this job and do it well – and have a life outside of work?

In short, the pressure is on – and given the challenges listed above, you may be questioning if you can achieve what is expected of you. And you probably feel alone in your work – no one on your campus really understands what you are going through, and it’s difficult to have time to network with others who are in your shoes.

Recognizing the need to develop and support those in high-level enrollment positions, NACCAP's Leadership Development for Enrollment Professionals (LDEP) program now offers a senior leaders track. The new track is designed for new chief enrollment officers, experienced CEO’s desiring mentoring, peer networking and exposure to new trends and strategies, and non-cabinet-level leaders aspiring to be chief enrollment officers.

LDEP’s senior leadership track was designed for three groups:

  1. New chief enrollment officers who are still learning the ropes of cabinet-level work
  2. Experienced CEO’s who feel the need for mentoring, networking and exposure to new trends and strategies.
  3. Non-cabinet level/senior leaders who aspire to be chief enrollment officers.

I have been thrilled with my experience in the LDEP senior track! Having the ability to network and dialogue with my peers at similar institutions has been invaluable. It’s nice to know that you aren’t the only one dealing with the stressors and issues that come with enrollment leadership. I feel more confident in my role than ever before.
‘Participating in the Leadership Development for Enrollment Professionals Senior Track has been an invaluable experience for me as a senior enrollment officer. The program not only provided a fresh strategic framework regarding today’s rapidly changing enrollment landscape, but it has also given me an extremely powerful network of peers and mentors.’

‘I didn’t realize just how much I needed this space to step back, reflect, and re-energize.  In particular, the conversations with peers and our mentor have given me fresh perspective and a safe space to reflect, re-think, and re-energize. I walk away from this program feeling more confident, grounded, and inspired to lead even more effectively as I move forward in my career.’
