Chant Thompson Legacy Scholarship 2025 Recipients Announced

2025_ctls_recipients_finalThe North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals (NACCAP) is pleased to announce the class of 2025 recipients of the Chant Thompson Legacy Scholarship. With 88 applications received, 18 scholarships were awarded – the most in the history of the program.

  • Rachel Baird – Graduate of Beaver County Christian School in Pennsylvania. Attending Geneva College, majoring in elementary and special education.
  • Coleman Bales – Graduate of Prestonwood Christian Academy in Texas. Attending East Texas Baptist University, majoring in kinesiology.
  • Andrew Boythe – Graduate of Charlotte Christian School in North Carolina. Attending Cedarville University, majoring in exercise science.
  • John David Buchanan – Graduate of Christian Life Preparatory School in Texas. Attending Liberty University, majoring in aeronautics commercial/corporate.
  • Aleeyah Carroll – Graduate of Redding Christian School in California. Attending Biola University, majoring in education.
  • Brynn Dizon – Graduate of Legacy Christian Academy in Texas. Attending Abilene Christian University, majoring in finance.
  • Alexis Douthit – Graduate of Nampa Christian High School in Idaho. Attending Northwest Nazarene University, majoring in business administration.
  • Anna Everett – Graduate of Denver Christian School in Colorado. Attending Covenant College, majoring in biology (pre-med).
  • Hope Jackson – Graduate of Grace Christian School in Alaska. Attending Liberty University, majoring in elementary education.
  • Rebekah Jarvis – Graduate of Wheaton Academy in Illinois. Attending Biola University, majoring in music education.
  • Patton Johnson – Graduate of Asheville Christian Academy in North Carolina. Attending Wheaton College, majoring in biology (pre-med).
  • Cannon Kanuit – Graduate of Grace Christian School in Alaska. Attending Colorado Christian University, majoring in pre-medical profession.
  • Noah Lynch – Graduate of Rocky Bayou Christian School in Florida. Attending Samford University, majoring in entrepreneurship.
  • Kelsey McKinney – Graduate of Christian Academy of Knoxville in Tennessee. Attending Union University, majoring in journalism and Christian ministry & missions.
  • Meredith Neubert – Graduate of Calvary Christian High School in Florida. Attending Southeastern University, majoring in communication sciences and disorders.
  • Grace Regan – Graduate of Cedar Park Christian School in Washington. Attending Biola University, majoring in nursing.
  • Alisa Scott – Graduate of Lynden Christian High School in Washington. Attending Dordt University, majoring in nursing.
  • Libby Wolford – Graduate of Prestonwood Christian Academy in Texas. Attending Samford University, majoring in biology (pre-vet).

The Chant Thompson Legacy Scholarship is named for Chant Thompson, former executive director of NACCAP. Prior to serving Christian institutions through NACCAP, Thompson was the dean of enrollment management at Huntington University, a Christian college and NACCAP member institution. He spent his career advancing Christian education and continues to do so in retirement. 

"We are so grateful for Chant's lifelong commitment to Christian education and for the generous supporters who share his vision and want to help make it a reality for students through this scholarship," said Keith Ramsdell, NACCAP president.
